Diisongnyl Phthalate

Diisononyl phthalate (DINP) is a transparent, oily liquid with a mild odor. It is a high-performance, general-purpose primary plasticizer. It exhibits excellent compatibility with PVC and does not exude even when used in large quantities. Compared to DOP, it offers superior characteristics regarding volatility, migration resistance, and low toxicity; it imparts excellent light stability, heat resistance, aging resistance, and electrical insulation properties to finished products, resulting in better overall performance than DOP. Due to the excellent water and extraction resistance, low toxicity, aging resistance, and electrical insulation properties of the products made with it, DINP is widely used in applications such as toy films, wires, and cables.

Product Usage

Wires and Cables: Serves as a plasticizer for cable jacketing, offering excellent insulation, migration resistance, and long-term heat stability; acts as a replacement for traditional DOP.

Construction and Home Furnishings: Used in vinyl flooring, waterproofing membranes, door and window sealing strips, and thermal insulation materials to enhance weather resistance and service life.

Automotive Interiors: Applied to PVC components such as dashboard skins, sealing strips, and hoses; provides aging resistance and low volatility.

Flexible Plastics and Rubber: Used in the production of artificial leather, plastic hoses, shoe soles, rubber sheeting, sealing strips, and films for soft toys (compliant with limits for children's products).

Coatings and Adhesives:Functions as a softening agent and solvent for inks, coatings, and emulsions, improving flexibility and adhesion.
